The Power of Suggestion in Exerting Positive Transformation

Laura Harring is an established Hollywood actor whose work includes performances in movies such as John Q and Mulholland Drive. Mulholland Drive was recently voted The Best Movie of the 21st Century. With “healthy body, healthy mind” as a fundamental philosophy, Laura Harring places importance on the power of self healing in her daily life. Harring believes that what we say to ourselves on a daily basis matters, and that being kind to ourselves through our self chatter, makes a radical difference to our level of well being and happiness.

One aspect of exploring mind-body healing centers is the power of auto suggestion. Through this process, negative statements and thoughts are reframed in positive ways. For example, instead of focusing on blocked energy or a feeling of being emotionally closed or in the doldrums, this can be reframed by saying something like, “My energy is expanding and is being recalibrate right now." In this way, an expansion of this energy is made possible.

Another example could be a statement that indicates a readiness for more balance, acceptance, or whatever state is felt to be lacking. Employing neutral and positive language that is free from explicit or implied judgment to generate momentum toward moving beyond the present stasis. A shift in habitual ways of thinking toward the positive, effectively transforms a person’s approach to reality and creates growth opportunities. Laura Harring uses the age old simple statement “everyday in everyday I feel better and better,” or even “I can do this” seems to help to have peace and self love in a way that other people’s encouraging words can not. Harring believes in self sufficiency, as a great way to maintain well being and a deep profound happiness. Though very private, Laura Harring loves sharing her wisdom and encouraging others towards their goals. She does this through her social media pages.
